I finally found the folder hidden on my computer! Last month, Jessica went Spring Shopping at Armani Exchange, and was beautifully snapped while trying on various outfits. I will also be finishing up the What About Brian screencaps in the gallery, I’m missing 2 episodes: 17 and 18 and hopefully on or by Tues. March 10 they will be uploaded to the gallery as well so that we’ll basically be finished with those caps.

So… this is really exciting getting back in the swing of things especially with the help of the great/amazing Carol.

On my lunch break a little while ago, I went to the mall to pick up Lucky Magazine which features Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) of Gossip Girl on the cover. I’ve added 3 HQ scans.

Today, in wackadoo press releases: this Saturday at the Armani Exchange in New York from 2—4PM, ‘Vanessa’ (Jessica Szohr) from Gossip Girl and ‘Victory Ford’ (Lindsay Price) from Lipstick Jungle are going to be giving away kisses. Yes: your favorite New York Observer-reading, Communitea-employed, de-facto Humphrey family member (and once-lover of Nate Archibald…not that I watch or anything) will be (supposedly) giving out kisses for cash in a “Kissing Booth” of sorts.

They’re doing it to raise money for the National AIDS Fund; they’re also running the promotion in L.A. at the Santa Monica outpost of Armani Exchange with Robert Buckley (also of Lipstick Jungle) and AnnaLynne McCord of 90210. The ‘Exchange will also be donating some of the day’s respective sales to the National AIDS Fund as well, so go out, buy that AIX-stamped shirt, get your smooch on, and send the evidence to Gossip Girl (or: us). Jessica recently sat dow with Matt Mitovich of TV Guide and dished on the upcoming storylines we’ll see on Gossip Girl.  Jessica touched on Nate & Vanessa, Vanessa and Chuck (in tonight’s epsode), how fans either love or hate V and a little more.  Check it out below; if the embeded video does not work then click here.

Gossip Girl author, Cecily von Ziegesar, has spoken out about the characterization of Vanessa in the Gossip Girl series.

The original Gossip Girl, author Cecily von Ziegesar, thinks the CW’s interpretation of her teen books are “great,” but has one criticism: the character of Vanessa played by the wonderful Jessica Szohr.

“I knew about [The O.C.], and that made me more worried that Nate’s going to be a lifeguard, and it’s going to be totally cheesy. But the costumes are so great. It’s such a great show.”

But! She has issues with Vanessa.

“I think Vanessa is one character they ruined. In the book, she’s kick-ass and has a shaved head and wears lots of black … and I think a lot of the readers who don’t usually read teen fiction identify with Vanessa. Even though I don’t like Vanessa’s character, it’s nothing against [actress] Jessica [Szohr]. I just wish Vanessa was like she is in the books a bit more.”

To be honest von Z isn’t far off her mark, I adore Jessica because she’s an amazing actress in everything I’ve seen her in to date, but the TV version of Vanessa is NOTHING like the book version – she does have a shaved head, and she is rebellious and just plain kick-a** in a edgier way than the TV Gossip Girl Vanessa is written.

But hey she’ll get over it, she did with Taylor when she wasn’t the ideal casting as Jenny Humprey who in the books is large in the bust area and if you see Taylor – she’s not.  So hopefully TIIC at GG won’t get rid of Jessica because of this issue but find a way to make her more well rounded and give her something to do!
