I enjoy life pretty much all the time. I have a great family and wonderful friends! But I am human so of course I have days that I want to scream:) A nice cup of tea, sour patch kids, some candles and a good movie always help!!

If there was a fire in your house, which three things would you save?

A fire: ahhhh I’d grab my dog, my fish and my photo album!

Which is your favorite garment?

An old vintage sweater my mom gave me years ago. It’s brown and fuzzy and I love it

What was your first job?

My 2 friends and I in high school started a cleaning service, we wanted to be our own boss and pick our hours and stuff!! I have to say for 3 teenage girls never being in the “real world” we did a pretty damn good job.

Which three things do you always carry with you?

I carry lip gloss, my Caudalie Beauty Elixir spray… It is so refreshing to spray on your face during the day, and I guess this is probably what everyone would say but my cell phone

Do you have a hidden talent?

Hidden talent… It wouldn’t be hidden if I told you, but yes of course I do- doesn’t everyone?!?!

What is the most expensive garment you have in your closet?

Most expensive.. Oh I’d have to say my Prada coat.. I got a few years ago!

What is your relationship with fashion?

My relationship with fashion.. It pretty simple. We get a long for the most part, but I think that’s because I listen to a little of what it says but… I do what I feel fits me personally! I’m not trying to be uncomfortable and make statements that aren’t me! That’s the sexy thing in fashion I think.. Take what’s in (“in your own eyes”) and be you. Trendy isn’t so cute!

Do you have any bad habits?

Bad habits.. Yes!! I could eat french fries and cheetos for dayyyyys

Ahhh.. That’s tough, I have some pretty weird garments

On her fashion evolution: “I’m learning more and more about clothes and designers from being a part of Gossip Girl and living in New York. In fittings now, I’m like, ‘I love that Diane von Furstenberg skirt or this Rag & Bone jacket,’ whereas before, I wouldn’t have recognized the labels.”

On her love of menswear: “At Confederacy in L.A., it’s hard to know where to begin: It has great coffee-table books, an incredible shoe collection, and a men’s section that I shop in for myself.”

Wonderwall: What celebrities inspire your personal style?

Jessica Szohr: “I’m a big fan of Kate Moss’ style. I’m like Michelle Williams, I think she has a great style. Kate Moss, she just looks effortless but still fashionable and hip and cool, and Michelle Williams looks like she always has a lot of cool vintage, one piece things. Who else do I like? I think Cameron Diaz on the red carpet always looks phenomenal and flawless.”

WW: What do you think of Kate Moss’ gray hair? You rushing out to dye yours gray, too?

JS: “I didn’t even know she did that. That’s cool, good for her. I’m sure everybody will be doing that now.”

WW: What’s the most stylish city you’ve ever been to?

JS: “I’d probably say Paris. I just did a photo shoot there, I had to pick my favorite city so the whole interview was in Paris. I liked it because it didn’t matter how old anyone was, everyone was fashionable. You’d see a little girl, you’d see someone in their mid ’20s and then you’d see someone in their late ’60s they were all put together. And not too much it was just perfect

WW: What do you think of couture lines like Rodarte and Sonia Rykiel doing lines for Target and H&M?

JS: “I think it’s amazing because not everybody does has a bunch of money to go spend. So when designers can do that and can give girls growing up that watch all these people on TV or movies and the fashions for them that’s cool and hip and in, I think it’s amazing.”

WW: Speaking of amazing, love your dress.

JS: (Modelling her Herve Leger dress) What’s not to love? They’re comfortable, they’re sexy, they’re flirtatious and yeah I just feel good when I’m in it.  BCBG (showing off her BCBG shoes), they’re actually comfortable for how tall they are.

WW: So what fashion trends will you be wearing this Fall?

JS: “I’m really into denim this year, everything denim. Just denim shirts and I’m trying to think of the pants I just got. I’m really into denim and stripes this year.”

Reports started brewing that the two had split when Jessica refused to answer certain reporters’ inquiries about her man-candy at the Saks Fifth Avenue launch of Jimmy Choo 24:7.

But she told us of her Valentine’s Day plans: “My boyfriend is traveling, but hopefully he’ll make it back [to N.Y.C.] in time. But [we] have fun all the time so we really don’t need a holiday to make it special.”

But “Piranha” star Jessica Szohr of “Gossip Girl” fame roused my spirits at the red carpet premiere of “Youth in Revolt” when she talked up director Alexandre Aja’s “phenomenal” vision and gave us a sneak peak at one super scary scene in the upcoming film.

“I get claustrophobic, so when we were in a boat I was kind of halfway under water at one point and it was like a really small little cage,” she said. “I was freaking out actually. I was like, ‘I can’t breathe! I can’t get out of here!’”

But she survived, they wrapped the picture (out in April) and now the 24-year-old actress is back on the set of “Gossip Girl.” That show I really couldn’t give a crap about. But “Piranha”? I’m pumped. Why? It might have something to do with how co-star Paul Scheer described the schlocky flick when MTV News visited the set in June.

“I think this is going to be the most boobs and blood in any motion picture of all time,” he said.

Are you excited for “Piranha 3-D”? Have you see the original? Up until this point, which movie do you think qualifies as having “the most boobs and blood” of all time?

Allow me to explain. I caught up with your beau, sea glass-eyed beauty Jessica Szohr, at the red carpet premiere of “Youth in Revolt” earlier this week. With the “Gossip Girl” cast having just returned from holiday break, I wanted to know who the 24-year-old actress was looking forward to hanging with the most. I fully expected her to name you, Westwick. Or maybe one of her girls, Blake Lively or Leighton Meester. But no! No, no, no.

“I’d probably have to say one of the camera guys,” Jessica said. “He just makes me laugh every day and just makes it very easy.”

Here’s what you do, Ed, you go ahead and give this dude a piece of your mind. Lay on some of your patented “Don’t nobody take Chuck Bass’ girl!” talk.

Why? All I’m saying is that Miss Szohr has apparently been quite the rule-breaker as of late. In honor of the revolutionary spirit of “Youth in Revolt,” I asked her about her most recent act of rebellion.

“Probably lots of stuff that I shouldn’t say!” she laughed. “No, I’m kidding. I don’t know. That’s for me to know and you not to!”

Westwick? You’ve been warned!

Luckily, the actress—who admits that she spent much of her lonely first year in Los Angeles “crying myself to sleep”—has adjusted to Manhattan quite well. Her costars have helped: “We’re all young,” she explains, “and everyone was new to New York, so we’ve had so much fun. I’ve heard horror stories from other actors about egos, people who don’t get along, but we’re all friends. There are people from this job who will be in my life for a very, very long time.” Including, perhaps, her boyfriend and castmate, Ed Westwick? The two hooked up more than a year ago, after first getting to know each other, Jessica says, “as friends.” Once both were single, they decided to give romance a shot. “It can be a little awkward,” she admits, “when all of a sudden [you have feelings for] someone you’d call to talk about a different boyfriend. But there wasn’t a lot of thinking and talking. It kind of just happened. We had fun together, and we were like, ‘All right, let’s see where this goes.’”

So far, it’s going somewhere good. “He’s a really rad guy,” Jessica says when asked what she likes about Ed. “He’s awesome and smart and talented and adorable, and we make each other laugh.” They don’t have any Valentine’s Day plans yet—last year they went to Jamaica with Leighton Meester and her boyfriend, Sebastian Stan—but Jessica insists that they don’t need to do anything major. “We go to dinners, have nights by ourselves and fun romantic times in general. And I like just cuddling up on the couch.” And as soon as Gossip Girl wraps for the season, the couple will probably jet off for another getaway.

Her life has changed dramatically in the last few years, but it hasn’t changed who she is; even her newfound knowledge of high fashion strikes the rummage-sale shopper as being highly ironic. “Now,” she says, “I can be like, ‘Oh, is that this season’s Marc Jacobs?’ Which is weird because I’m not that kind of girl.”

Maybe not. But she is the kind who spots an old friend outside—in this case, sometime costar Michelle Trachtenberg—and rushes out of the restaurant to greet her; after the interview is over, she calls Ed and tells him to meet her at the bar where Michelle and her boyfriend are having a drink. When they hang out together, the Gossip crew is completely recognizable. As Jessica says, “Ed has a very unique look, so people don’t even question—it’s just: “You’re Chuck Bass”—but nobody’s staring or asking for autographs. Like any fright film that wants to be a hit, Piranha 3-D promises two key elements – shocks galore and beautiful women. I spoke with two of the latter during my recent visit to the film’s set in Lake Havasu, Arizona (just a few days before shooting wrapped) – Jessica Szhor and Kelly Brook. Szhor (best know for her role on Gossip Girl) play’s the film’s nominal heroine, Kelly, a girl who grew up in a spring-break party town, and now finds herself at an age when she must decide if she wants to join the party. Brook (a former judge on Britain’s Got Talent who appeared in Smallville and The Italian Job) plays Danni, a lovely Brit for whom there is no decision – she’s all too eager to bare it all in the film’s Girls Gone Wild-esque video Wild, Wild Girls. We saw you working underwater yesterday. Are a lot of your scenes underwater?

I have just in the last couple days, but we’ve been on a boat basically the entire movie. We just recently got back on land.

So have you seen the original film?

I’ve seen it, yeah. That’s one of the reasons why I was really excited when I got the script and went in, and met with everyone and put myself on tape. You were at the edge of your seat, and it was very intense. Then I found out the cast that was doing this; and the director has a really cool vision. So I was like, “Oh my God. This is going to be so fun – on a lake!” It’s weird because even on our days off, we’re in the lake, our one day off a week, we’re on the lake. And I freak out and go, “What if there are here?” I know there’s not but, I’m like, “Oh my God. Something’s going to happen to me…”

Can you talk a little bit about your character in the film and what she goes through?

Kelly is a girl that grew up in Lake Victoria. She’s the local, and grew up seeing all the crazy stuff on the boat – the kids that come in for spring break and the weekends and stuff like that. I think because she’s so used to it she’s not really into it. She’s seen it so much growing up that she’s kind of like, “Oh, I’m over it. I’m not gonna be the girl that has all the tattoos. I’m not the girl that goes and gets wasted on the boat and shows my body to everyone.” She’s kind of done it, seen it all, over it. And she has had a crush on Jake for a long time. She runs into him when she comes back from college, and somehow gets persuaded to go on this boat. Not really persuaded – she wants to go on because Jake is going on, but that’s not her thing at all. So she’s kind of stepping out of her character when she goes on the boat. She goes on and does a couple things that’s not really like her, because of her feelings for Jake. Then they start getting attacked by .

Can you talk about the humor in the film?

I think the comedy is really definitely Jerry O’Connell’s character. He took it to a whole other level in one day. But it is also funny with the two girls, the Wild Wild Girls, because it’s a crazy spring break thing. So it’s not in everyday life that you see this, you know what I mean? Growing up where I’m even from, Wisconsin, people are going to see this and be like, “Is that really what goes on?” My little sister is going to be like, “I’ve never even seen anything like that.”

Have you done your own stunts in this?

I’ve had a stunt double for some of the things. I’ve done some of my own as well. I think with some of the stunts, it would have been, months of training, which, working with the show and then this, I don’t think, schedule-wise, would work. I can’t imagine jumping out of buildings and stuff like that, but doing a water thing… I’ve learned a lot about myself, and a lot about water, and it’s really difficult. I give all the stunt people total mad credit, because, it’s intense.

You said you saw the original – are you a fan of the genre?

I’ve seen a lot actually, and I’m a fan of them. I like movies that… You know, there’s a ton of really big in a lake, but the tone of the movie is such that everything feels really realistic. The way Alex made you feel this love story, and the relationship with Jake and his mom, and the relationship of these two girls are just… We don’t care, we’re having fun. And Jerry’s character is kind of this douche-bag guy, but he’s charming – and that’s why he does get all these women to do what he does. There’s a realistic tone to it, which I always find great in movies, whether it’s a cartoon or not. There’s a real story that you can connect to.

What’s your greatest fear?

‘I think that would be kind of hot,’ star Leighton Meester says of a movie based on the popular TV show.

Earlier this year, “Star Trek” became the 11th feature film spun off from TV’s beloved sci-fi franchise. “X-Files” has launched two big-screen installments, starring the same actors from the hit television show. “Sex and the City: The Movie” became a box-office phenomenon with a $57 million opening weekend, and an “Arrested Development” film should be coming our way shortly.

Now, the cast of the red-hot TV show “Gossip Girl” are wondering whether they could be the next hit series to graduate to the silver screen.

“We’ve been asked that a lot,” Jessica Szohr grinned. “I’m in.”

“A ‘Gossip Girl’ movie could be compared to a ‘Sex and the City’-type of movie,” agreed Leighton Meester, giving a pitch and seeing similarities in the confessional, sexy, martini-drinking worlds. “I think that would be kind of hot.”

These days, Szohr is hard at work in Lake Havasu on the set of the horror film “Piranha 3-D,” while Meester is playing psycho on the Culver City set of the thriller “The Roommate.” Other stars, like Blake Lively and Chace Crawford, are similarly establishing their own film careers or focusing on the third season of the show that premieres in September. But if the show’s fanbase continues to build, “Gossip Girl” could someday be bringing her omniscient observations to a movie theater near you.

“If they do that, I don’t think it’ll be for a couple more years,” reasoned Szohr, who plays down-to-earth Vanessa Abrams on the show. “We’re just going into the third season. But I think it’d be fun; we’d all be excited to do it.”

“We’ll see what happens,” agreed Meester, a breakout star as the bratty, bitchy Blair Waldorf. “There’s no resolution in each episode — it’s always a cliffhanger. So it would be pretty juicy as a movie.”

Asked if she’s been privy to any behind-the-scenes rumblings about a possible movie someday, Meester said, “I have,” adding, “I think we are just [concentrating] on the show right now — so maybe when it goes away for a while we can come back [as a movie].”

“You never know,” Szohr added. “It went from books to a TV show — so they might as well just check off the list and make it a film too.”

Thinking about her surroundings on the “Piranha” set, however, Szohr only hoped that the “Gossip Girl” film wouldn’t similarly be in 3-D. “I can’t picture that,” she laughed, thinking of her artsy style on the show. “My character’s outfits would look crazy!” [Source]
