Is “Gossip Girl” star Ed Westwick “getting ready to propose to his co-star girlfriend, Jessica Szohr?” That’s what HollywoodLife asks before exclaiming, “He is ready to buy her a house and live with her!”

The site goes on to say that at last night’s Cosmopolitan magazine “Fun Fearless Male Awards” in New York, Westwick “confessed” he was going to earn “some money and then buy a nice house for [Jessica]!”

Not so fast…

Westwick far from “confessed.” A source on the scene tells Gossip Cop that the young star was not only joking but also specified that if it did happen, it would be far, far off in the future.

“It’s not happening anytime soon. It’s way too early,” reiterated the source.

Gossip Cop wishes HollywoodLife hadn’t played around with the facts about Westwick and Szohr playing house.

On her fashion evolution: “I’m learning more and more about clothes and designers from being a part of Gossip Girl and living in New York. In fittings now, I’m like, ‘I love that Diane von Furstenberg skirt or this Rag & Bone jacket,’ whereas before, I wouldn’t have recognized the labels.”

On her love of menswear: “At Confederacy in L.A., it’s hard to know where to begin: It has great coffee-table books, an incredible shoe collection, and a men’s section that I shop in for myself.”

We caught up with Ed at Cosmopolitan magazine’s “Fun Fearless Male Awards” at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC on Mar. 1 — and he confessed  to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that he plans “to make some money and then buy a nice house for [Jessica]!”

So it was no surprise to find her mingling at the W Hotels Lounge during New York Fashion Week. Wonderwall stole a few minutes with the dark-haired beauty to chat about her style influences, her favorite city and which trends she’ll be sporting in the Fall.

Wonderwall: What celebrities inspire your personal style?

Jessica Szohr: “I’m a big fan of Kate Moss’ style. I’m like Michelle Williams, I think she has a great style. Kate Moss, she just looks effortless but still fashionable and hip and cool, and Michelle Williams looks like she always has a lot of cool vintage, one piece things. Who else do I like? I think Cameron Diaz on the red carpet always looks phenomenal and flawless.”

Don’t need a holiday
Despite rumors to the contrary, Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick are still very much an item.

Reports started brewing that the two had split when Jessica refused to answer certain reporters’ inquiries about her man-candy at the Saks Fifth Avenue launch of Jimmy Choo 24:7.

But she told us of her Valentine’s Day plans: “My boyfriend is traveling, but hopefully he’ll make it back [to N.Y.C.] in time. But [we] have fun all the time so we really don’t need a holiday to make it special.”

Jessica Szohr refused to give interviews at a Jimmy Choo party the other night at Saks to avoid questions about her relationship with “Gossip Girl” co-star Ed Westwick. Szohr unexpectedly popped into the party after taping “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” at 30 Rock. Upon arrival, Szohr swapped her black heels for a pair of red-hot stilettos and mingled with Brooke Shields, Choo founder Tamara Mellon and Harper’s Bazaar editrix Glenda Bailey.

“Gossip Girl” co-stars and real-life lovers Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr did their best to put the breakup rumors to bed at Maxim’s Super Bowl party at the Raleigh in Miami.

“They spent most of the night dodging cameras in one of the back cabanas, where they were making out like crazy,” says a spy. “It looked like they were having sex.”
